Die Beautiful Movie Review

The movie Die Beautiful is a film about a Filipino transgender woman who suddenly dies after being crowned in a gay pageant after so many local or small time gay pageants. Trisha who is played by Paolo Ballesteros last wish to her bestfriend Barbs who is played by Christian Bables was to transformed into different celebrities every night of her wake.

Yesterday, December 28, 2016 we watch Die Beautiful one of the entry in MMFF 2016. I am very much into watching this film based on it's trailer and Paolo Ballesteros Best Actor award from recent 29th Tokyo International Film Festival. I have put it on top of my list of movies I want to watch this year. The movie is very refreshing especially that it is a gay film that we don't usually see in Filipino cinema. It's very funny and bold ( really bold! 😅 ) and has a moral lesson most especially in understanding our friend or family member who is a member of LGBT and queer. ]

because we need to surrender the tickets to the attendant and we are 

in a rush,the movie is about to start! ha ha )

 I don't want to spoil people who haven't watch the movie yet but I want to reminisce my favorite part of the movie that I still remember. First, when Trisha shouted My name is Trisha! Trishaaaaaaa!! trisha and then walked out! ( fierce right? ) second, is when Trisha confronted the beautician at the parlor/ salon because that gay steal her boyfriend and do Maricel Soriano's line from her movie which is on the trailer also of Die Beautiful ( that was hilarious really!😹 ) and the scene where she transformed into Julia Roberts and met Luis Alandy's character. Lastly, of coarse when Trisha picked the question that one answer she only memorize in her entire gay pageant journey and won the title at last!.

Finally, overall the movie is a must watch! I don't recommend it to teenagers and kids because there are scenes for adults only and open minded people ( this is not networking okay? haha ) It's like a roller coaster, mixed emotions it gives you sadness, love, passion, friendship love, family love and also kilig! yes! It is very funny and also could make you cry in some scenes.
